How to Get Involved
Volunteers are needed and welcome for both the packing on Friday and the distribution on Saturday morning. Volunteers are needed throughout both days. Anything from volunteering the entire two days to a part of one day is welcome and appreciated. Families, clubs and teams often participate as a group. Board members are available to validate volunteer hours for students. Parents may bring children to help as long as they are supervised. It is not necessary to sign-up prior to volunteering.
All packing and distribution takes place at Brentwood Elementary School at 200 Griffith Lane in Brentwood.
Starting the second week of November, barrels and bins will be located throughout East County for donations of non-perishable food and new toys. BRCC also takes cash donations throughout the year to help purchase turkeys and toys. Donations can be made via or via check to BRCC, PO Box 845, Brentwood CA 94513.
Barrels are located at local banks, post offices, local businesses, Brentwood, Byron and Knightsen elementary and middle schools, as well as many other locations. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated. All donations to the Community Chest stay in East County.
